TRAC’s Tesmec wiring unit completed its first project last week at West Calder as part of Network Rail’s H2M Overhead Line Equipment Installation Project.
The Tesmec is TRAC’s new RRV mounted high speed wiring unit, the first of its type in the UK. The innovative design of this unit allows installation of High Voltage Conductors in a single shift, where previously this would have taken several shifts. During the project 9976 metres of cable were safely installed over 4 shifts as well as all ancillary insulators and equipment, delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
